Last Summer I was able to spend a weekend in Bountiful, Utah with my two beautiful sisters for my birthday. It was such a fun weekend full of relaxation, shopping, amazing food, and good old-fashioned fun. We were able to spend some real quality time together which doesn’t happen very often. Usually, we have a girls weekend in the summer or fall every year and it is a well-deserved getaway. This girls trip was very special and such a memorable trip.

We arrived Friday afternoon and we immediately went to the pool for some sun and relaxation once we checked in.  The temperature was 85 degrees, the sky was a beautiful blue and the water was perfect. We could have stayed by the pool all evening…but our stomachs had other plans. After the lovely time at the pool, we decided to grab a quick bite to eat at the Greek Cafe. Their menu was simple, but the food was divine. Greek food is one of my favorites when it is done right and they nailed it! It was the perfect way to end the perfect day.

Saturday morning we awoke to attend the Bountiful Saturday Market at the Bountiful City Park on North 200 West. The park was a vast green wonderland set up with sprawling booths filled with vendors selling amazing food, produce and crafts. They sell everything from homemade juices, candles to clothing and hats.  We spent several hours going up and down the rows consisting of homemade items or homegrown produce. I was continuously tempted to purchase everything I saw and had to restrain myself on many occasions. I did eventually buy a hat as my souvenir and looking back I wish we would have all bought something similar to remember our trip.

We took a break and had a late breakfast at the Bun Basket and Bakery on Main Street. They have a heavenly quiche that made me want to have a second piece and their pasties are to die for! I will definitely have to go back again.

Next, we went into the Historic Bountiful Main Street to take in some additional shopping.  They have such a beautiful and quaint little downtown area. It’s lined with little boutiques, restaurants, and other neat little shops. Some of my favorites include Twirl, which is filled with women’s clothing, shoes, and unique jewelry. I could have stayed all day in that store. I also loved the Rocky Mountain Boutique which was similar to the Twirl. I found a beautiful dress I am dying to wear to church.

To end the day we went to the Music in The Park and listened to Ryan Shupe & The Rubber Band. His music is hip with a little bit of country.  His songs speak to my heart and make me cry. I love his song Dream Big because of how inspiring it is. He played many other songs that I didn’t recognize but I thoroughly enjoyed them all. The concert ended pretty late so we went back to the hotel and soaked in the hot tub. It was much needed after such a busy day. Our trip was so enjoyable! Bountiful is such a neat town filled with such wonders & I can’t wait to visit again.
