A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and an excellent solution that provides many great benefits including better speech clarity, giving you the freedom to eat your favorite foods, and let’s face it- they can help you feel great about your smile!

When considering complete dentures, you’ll have the option to choose either “conventional” or “immediate” dentures.  Conventional dentures are molded after all the teeth have been removed and the gums begin their healing process – they’re ready to be placed in the mouth about 12 weeks after your teeth have been removed and your gums begin to heal.  Immediate dentures are made in advance, and therefor can be positioned immediately once your teeth have been removed.  This type of denture is only recommended as an interim solution while you wait for your conventional dentures to be created, as they can take several adjustments before they fit properly.

Another type of denture available is the “partial denture”.  A partial denture is used when one or more teeth remain on the upper or lower jaw, and both fills the space of missing teeth and secures remaining teeth in their natural position.  Ask us about both and we’ll be glad to discuss which is the best solution for you.
